Campus Life
Students will experience well-designed classrooms with purposeful planning following researched best practices. Each classroom is made for the students to be a place for them to feel at home to learn. We utilize flexible seating options throughout all grade levels, and the classrooms are beautiful, comfortable spaces.
CCA prioritizes safety and security and is a closed, private campus with a strong security system of locks, codes, and cameras to keep everyone safe. Teachers are trained in security measures and many policies reflect the commitment to keep all of the children safe.
Experiences
Students will attend a weekly chapel on Wednesday mornings where everyone comes together for a time of praise and worship as well as a lesson from the Word of God.
There are multiple field trips for all grade levels throughout the year to provide fun, hands-on experiences.
Teachers incorporate outdoor lessons throughout the week in addition to using a visual, auditory, and kinesthetic component to each lesson.
During the school year there are several fun dress up and themed weeks with learning opportunities built in as well. Students may study Christmas around the world, the story of St. Patrick, the impact of Reformation Day, the math of Pi on Pi Day, and many other unique experiences.
Upper School has the yearly Lock In Retreat with a day and night packed full of fun activities, extreme games, opportunities to build relationships, and special time in the Word together. Many students have said that this experience has significantly helped them grow in their walk with God, and everyone looks forward to this event!
